My recommendation is to get ahold of an airport or DOT official in the sunbelt regions. Sign replacement costs from fading must be outrageous. With that being said, they must be using some sort of HV shielding. Someone has surely thought of a way to address, not continually replace.

Anyone from the sunbelt airports that have the solution to this problem?

Hell-we spend $10,000 a year on faded signs. Continually looking for other ways to spend that money but keep coming up short with signage shelf-life!! Come on–someone turn the light on for me.

Sunbelt airports. What are you doing to deter this cost?
